Budget phones have been killing it lately, they aren't junks anymore.
Enters a Chinese OEM, Coolpad, with the moto to destroy the budget market here in India, bringing out flagship specifications for just 9000 INR($145), the Note 3.
I was pretty excited to test this one out, but Coolpad wasn't kind enough to send a unit for review. However, i finally had the chance to get my hands on one!
This is the Coolpad Note 3, before discussing the goods and bads about it, let have a look at the Unboxing Experience!
This is how the box looks like, it looks pretty sweet, with some pricing information on the back!
The Phone is the first thing you get inside the box.
These are all the contents of the box, you get the following:
► 1 Travel Adapter(Out:2A)
► Micro USB Cable
► Earphones
► Phone
► Documentation
The material of the micro usb cable was really rough and not good to the hand
The back cover can be removed but unfortunately the battery is sealed and cannot be removed.. The fingerprint sensor is also at the back, slightly recessed just below the 13MP camera lens and LED flash.
The speaker grill is towards the bottom on the same side. There's a chrome finish rim around the front panel that reminds you of older Samsung phones. It is about 9.3 mm thick. Unfortunately the buttons are not backlit.
Bottom has a Micro USB Port for charging and data transfer, alongside is a microphone.
On the left hand side, we have the volume rockers, which are a little mushy at times.
Up Top, we have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Right hand side is the power key which i just use to lock the phone because the fingerprint scanner is blazing fast.
Top up, on front we have an earpiece, 5MP Sensor, and a notification LED against the Proximity Sensor.
Bottom is the navigation buttons which, sadly aren't backlit.

OVERVIEW:
Coolpad Note 3 dosen't really have a revolutionary design but, it doesn't look too shabby either. The Coolpad has a nice curved back and nice matte back cover which the company calls ''baby skin''.The back cover can be removed but unfortunately the battery is sealed and cannot be removed.. The fingerprint sensor is also at the back, slightly recessed just below the 13MP camera lens and LED flash.
